Stephan Bonnar & Dave Herman Fail UFC 153 Drug Tests

According to MMAJunkie.com both “The American Psycho” Stephan Bonnar and Dave “Pee Wee” Herman have both failed their UFC 153 drug tests.

Bonnar tested positive for Drostanolone, an anabolic steroid, while Herman’s screen was flagged for marijuana metabolites.

Along with Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and former Interim Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera, Bonnar and Herman all stepped up and helped UFC big time last month after main eventer, Featherweight Champ Jose Aldo and co-main eventer Quinton “Rampage” Jackson both sustained injuries prior to their UFC 153 fights literally crippling the show.

As expected Bonnar was absolutely destroyed by Silva and Herman was submitted by Noguiera after previously making some disparaging statements regarding the effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

While Bonnar is likely to not receive any real punishment since he’s now enjoying fatherhood while officially retired, whereas Herman could be facing a cut from the UFC considering this is now his second Marijuana offense.

Jim Ross Talks Jones vs. Sonnen and Silva vs. Jones

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross in Texas via JRSBarBQ.com

WWE Hall of Fame announcer and former Executive Jim Ross has never hid his love for Mixed Martial Arts. “Good Ol’ JR” even attended Brock Lesnar‘s title unification match against Shane Carwin at UFC 116 and spoke with MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani.

Our Twitter friend JimBob Stoops Jr let us know that in JR’s latest blog entry at JRSBarBQ.com he discusses the Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones Super Fight and where he thinks it would take place as well as the Chael Sonnen vs. Jon Jones April 2013 match.

Love some of the MMA purists who scold me for saying that Anderson Silva will NEVER fight Jon Jones. I’m not the naive one here because if there is enough money on the table the fight will proceed. More viable question is does a Title need to be at stake for the fight to sell tickets and PPV’s? My answer is no. This fight would be a memorable attraction that might spawn multiple fights, one never knows, and would be the ultimate super fight, as the landscape currents shapes out, for what I’ve been saying for two years…Cowboys Stadium.

Jon Jones vs Chael Sonnen will do well on PPV if both fighters have an adequate opportunity to stir the pot on main stream TV. Sonnen is a gifted talker who will either motivate fans to pay to see him get his ass whipped or to beat Bones, the seemingly unbeatable and controversial champion. Every MMA fighter could take some of what Sonnen does verbally and organically adapt it to their own spiel and earn themselves more cash.
